There are a ton of cards in the Final Fantasy set to be excited about. However, the one I want to discuss today levels the playing field for Blue in a post-ward world.
Look, Eject is just a four mana bounce cantrip. But because it can’t be countered, it unlocks a world of possibilities for mono-blue, or any deck that doesn’t have great ways to deal with warded permanents. Additionally, the fact that it can target any nonland permanent allows Blue to interact with enchantments, something that it struggles with when it’s not paired up with Green or White.
The only other card similar to it is famed for its power: Hullbreaker Horror. But the Horror is stuck paying ward fees for permanents, so I think this card still has a home in any deck with Blue.
