Card Review 7-4-2025

When I think of July, I think of the aesthetic of America, which can suck, especially when America has been failing to live up to it’s ideals for a long time. But Jeskai, the combination of Red, White, and Blue, has always felt incredibly on point to me. That’s why today’s card is Flying Crane Technique.

Flying Crane Technique is kinda like a firework: very flashy and not all that powerful in the appropriate setting, but can absolutely rock someone’s world if they weren’t expecting it. Flying and Double Strike are some of those keywords that are always good, and the combination of them together at Instant speed can radically change a combat phase.
